What if we could live in homes, which use readily available technologies to provide secure, comfortable, bright, beautiful homes, while using little outside supplied energy?
And what if at the same time, they also provided more green space - cooling and quieting the surrounding area, while providing fresh clean air to breath?
And what if they did this in a way that was inexpensive to build, maintain and occupy?
Impossible Dream - Right... WRONG!
Then WHY don't we build these?? ... I wish I knew.
Some theories...
- we're use to standard construction types and methods, it's hard to change?
- the big builders make enough money on conventional construction, why risk change?
- no one wants to buy a home that's different from everybody else's
- could we get a mortgage on a home that is different from the standard type?
- how do we know what it's worth if there are no comparable sales?
Now some reasons to overcome the above listed concerns...
- Energy prices continue to increase
- Urban sprawl is growing out of control
- Conventional Homes are easily damaged by wind, cold, heat, and any extreme weather
- Conventional Home degrade over time requiring expensive maintenance

A dream home as described above is very possible with some simple common sense type technologies.
Still think it's impossible? Watch here for details, it's really not that hard!
